Designed for use with hydraulic cylinders in mobile applications, the externally threaded FMH sensor features an innovative two-part design. This design allows users to separate the flexible sensing element and electronics from the housing without opening the hydraulic system.

Cary, N.C. (June 28, 2016) - MTS Sensors, a division of MTS Systems Corporation (NASDAQ:MTSC), has expanded its E-Series of high accuracy position sensor devices with the introduction of the EP2. As with other members of the E-Series, the EP2 is a compact, smooth profile unit that is highly optimized for application scenarios where there is only limited space available for mounting. Based on the company’s proprietary Temposonics® magnetostrictive technology, this latest MTS sensor device has a stroke length of up to 2540mm. It exhibits linearity to within less than, equal to 0.02% full scale and less than, equal to 0.005% full scale repeatability.


Jun 07 2016 MTS Adds NEC and CEC Approvals to Hazardous Area and Safety Area Sensor Offering

June 7, 2016, Cary, N.C. - MTS Sensors, a division of MTS Systems Corporation (NASDAQ:MTSC), announced today that the Temposonics® T-Series product line is now certified to NEC and CEC Standards 500, 505 and 506. NEC and CEC certifications are used in US and Canada to ensure that equipment meets specified standards for operating in potentially hazardous conditions. The T-Series linear positons sensors, which already carry the ATEX and IECEx approvals used by other countries, are now ATEX, IECEx, NEC and CEC hazardous area certified for use in Class I, II, III - Divisions 1, 2 - Groups A, B, C, D, E, F, G as well as Zone 0/1, 21 and 22.
